Do your part to stop pollution and restore our hometown river by spending a spring morning planting trees! Bring your friends and family and join Team Potomac and NOVA Parks as we plant 200 trees at White's Ford Regional Park on Saturday, April 22nd!
We all know that trees and fresh air go hand-in-hand, but trees are also a river's best friend. Our healthy forested lands protect the water we drink and the river we love. Learn about the essential link between trees and healthy rivers while getting tips on how to plant your own trees at home and enjoying the great outdoors.
All ages are welcome, but small children will need some strong helping hands to lead the way. All you'll need for the event are clothes and shoes that are comfortable to work outside in. All tools, drinking water, and supplies will be provided by NOVA Parks and Potomac Conservancy.

Description
Potomac Conservancy is a member-supported nonprofit that works to ensure the Potomac River boasts clean water, healthy lands, and vibrant communities. The Conservancy fights for improved water quality through conservation and advocacy, and empowers local landowners, volunteers, activists, members, and partners to lead the charge for clean streams and safe drinking water access.
Potomac Conservancy works one-on-one with private landowners to protect forested and open space lands; builds a vibrant and diverse river constituency to advocate for passage of river-friendly policies; and mobilizes thousands of volunteers in hands-on pollution cleanup efforts to raise awareness, inspire action and make a difference in our community.
