Hospice of Union County

Our Comforting Paws Program demonstrates that positive human-animal interventions improve the physical, emotional and psychological loves of our patients at Hospice of Union County. Anyone who has felt a connection with a pet and experienced that unconditional love, understanding, and acceptance, know the value of a pet’s companionship. Please contact us if you think you and your dog would like to be part of our Comforting Paws Program.

DOGS must be registered and certified through Paws4 People, Therapy Dogs International, Canine Caregivers, or Pet Partners. All required vaccinations (shot records) must be up-to-date. Copies of pet certification/vaccinations are kept in volunteer’s file

Therapy dog owners must attend 12hr hospice volunteer training.
