Are you a Veteran interested in helping other Veterans? Hospice of UnionCounty is looking to recruit local Veterans to volunteer for hospice patients/families who have been identified as Veterans. Veteran Volunteers have the unique ability to connect, relate and share camaraderie with hospice patients who also have military experience. Activities may include: companionship, socialization, telling life stories, helping with veteran recognition efforts, yard work, assistance with veteran benefits or replacing lost medals, among others. All volunteers are required to attend our 12 hours of general volunteer training sessions. These sessions are scheduled throughout the year.Consider joining our Hospice Veteran-to-Veteran Volunteer Program today!

Hospice is a special way of caring for people who are living with a life-limiting illness as well as their families and caregivers. At Hospice of Union County and Hospice of Anson County, our goal is to help people live their last days as comfortably as possible, surrounded by family and friends.
First and foremost, we care for our patients and their families. The unmet needs of those who are dying, and those who care and grieve for them, motivates our work.
