Are you a Veteran interested in helping other Veterans? Hospice of UnionCounty is looking to recruit local Veterans to volunteer for hospice patients/families who have been identified as Veterans. Veteran Volunteers have the unique ability to connect, relate and share camaraderie with hospice patients who also have military experience. Activities may include: companionship, socialization, telling life stories, helping with veteran recognition efforts, yard work, assistance with veteran benefits or replacing lost medals, among others. All volunteers are required to attend our 12 hours of general volunteer training sessions.
