Make time in your schedule to give back. Befriend a senior citzen and become their companion. Horton's Personal Care Home is interested in finding individuals who want to socially interact and engage with our elderly residents. Many residents at our facility are without family and friends, so people who are committed to make regular visits are encouraged to apply. Each visit is an opportunity to offer your time and company to show that you care and provide stimulation and activity to the elderly. Elderly Companion Volunteers:
- Play cards and board games
- Read and discuss books
- Engage in conversation
- Create art projects/drawings
- Intiate rudimentary physical or mental exercises
- Play a musical instrument for them

Horton's Personal Care Home is family-owned and operated facility, which accommodates up to eight residents; right here in Pittsburgh, Pa. Since our facility opened its doors in 2005, our primary concern is the health and well-being of each resident. The motivating factor in our home is our love for what we do and we wholeheartedly believe that passion for the elderly and disabled makes all the difference in the care they receive. Our mindset is not that it's a job, but an honor to serve our residents!
