Hospice Volunteer Clip

Patient and family volunteers are assigned to patients and their families in the patients own home, nursing home, Hospital or other alternate living facilities. Assignments require minimal time commitments such as an hour a week or a visit 2-4 times a month depending on your availability and schedule, and always with a close proximity to your home if needed.

Companionship visits- Provide friendship to patients and their caregivers by offering your time to our hospice patients.
Crafters-Offering a fun way to engage our hospice patients with scrapbooking, creating cards, or making a wonderful shadow box of some of their favorite things.
Cosmetology- licensed cosmetologists and barbers can help our patients feel their best with basic services such as shampoo, cuts or sets
Creative writers- if you have a love for creative writing, patients , families and facility staff will tell you their stories, so their oral histories can be turned into a wonderful written legacy for others to read and keep.
Massage Therapy-Enhance a patients quality of life, assist in promoting a sense of well being, and reduce physical and emotional effects of stress or tension by providing massage.
Pet Therapy-Volunteers with credentialed therapy dogs provide friendly visits to patients and their families, Enrich our patients lives and spark reminiscences about dogs and other animals they may have had in the past.
