Junior Achievement brings important lessons of financial literacy, career readiness and entrepreneurship to the classroom. In this one day event, you will deliver four or five lessons on these topics using hands-on, interactive (fun!) learning tools provided by JA. You will be trained and all materials are provided by JA. The teacher will be in the classroom at all times to offer support. Opportunity can be done alone, or pairs are welcome!

Mission Statement
To educate and inspire young people to value free enterprise, business and economics in order to improve the quality of their lives.
Description
Junior Achievement of Southern California is a non-profit organization whose mission is to inspire and prepare young people to succeed in a global economy. Our three pillars of success: entrepreneurship, financial literacy and work readiness, are helping prepare young people for the real world by showing the economic relevance of staying in school, building self-confidence, and inspiring them to dream big for their futures.
At JA Finance Park, students are given a unique life profile after answering a series of future lifestyle questions. Their life profile includes an income, marital status, even kids! Using this new adult persona, students work to create a balanced monthly budget while making decision regarding housing, transportation, insurance, savings, entertainment expenses and much more.
