The Gail S. Halvorsen Aviation Education Foundation advances aviation education, promotes youth leadership development, enhances community capacity for emergency response, and encourages humanitarian service on macro- and micro-levels.
Description
We are an emerging non-profit educational and community service organization that perpetuates the legacy of Gail S. Halvorsen- The Candy Bomber- and promotes the values that gave rise to his remarkable career. We provide educational opportunities for children to experience science, technology, engineering, and mathematics in a practical and hands-on fashion. We support community service organizations- like the Civil Air Patrol- that support civil authorities in times of crisis to enhance community disaster response capacity.
