The American Heart Association Metro Detroit Heart Walk will be taking place on Saturday, May 20th at Wayne State University from 8 am - 12 pm. Volunteers are needed to assist in the day-of activities on the festival grounds. We will be meeting a few times up until the event to ensure everyone knows their specific roles and has a good understanding of how the event will play out. Come rain or shine, we need committed volunteers who want to make this year's heart walk a HUGE and FUN success.
Volunteers will be expected to arrive around 6:30 am and stay until around 1:00 pm.
Volunteer groups are absolutely welcome!

Heart Walks are fitness walks that bring companies and communities together to fight heart disease and stroke. While you can register to walk by yourself, it's more fun to join a team at your company. It provides friendly competition and gives you a reason to get fit and train for the walk. It also creates unity by bringing coworkers together for a common cause.
