Our Family Resource Center and Food Shelf in Rosemount serves as an open, welcoming place for community members to gather, work with volunteers and staff, plan their individual paths to success and obtain food. Staff and volunteers build trusting relationships with individuals and families in order to identify and remove barriers to help long-term self-sufficiency.

Our Rosemount Family Resource Center and Food Shelf is looking for volunteers to help on Fridays when we are distributing Fresh Food to our clients. There are two different shift opportunities, as indicated below. This is a rare opportunity where you can sign up for a single shift on a particular day and not commit to each week.

Prep/Set Up:

  • Sort incoming produce donations, organize produce by category and arrange for distribution.
  • Assemble distribution area (set up tents, tables and check in area)
  • Pre-package refrigerator items if available in ready to go bags
  • Ability to list a minimum of 25 pounds is required
  • Training will be provided
  • Shift time is 9 am to 11 am each Friday through September 28th

Distribution/clean up:

  • Assist families with distribution of produce.
  • Keep produce bins restocked and organized during two hour distribution.
  • Assist families in check-in and completing household information cards.
  • If needed help families load vehicles with produce.
  • Clean up after distribution (move everything indoors, wipe down bins and tables, take down and put away tents).
  • Ability to list a minimum of 25 pounds is required
  • Training will be provided
  • Shift time is 11 am to 2 pm each Friday through September 28th.

About 1,000 volunteers donate their time, energy and talent in support of 360 Communities every year.

No matter how a person enters 360 Communities, staff and volunteers engage them to identify the root causes of their problems and provide resources to help them onto a path toward self-sustained success.
