Mission Statement

BarakSFL is an organization that partners with educators and communities to produce alternative programs. We work with service providers and members of the community with the beliefs in the advancement of humanity through selfawareness, service to community and education. Our mission is to elevate individuals, organizations or groups with resources and information or programs and workshops that offer educational, social, and healthy holistic instruction, which will allow improvement and success. We at BarakSFL believe that only by embracing the totality of learning can we as humans reach our full potential we exist to improve the lives of all people regardless of race, religion, creed, color, or sexual orientation or socio economical status. BarakSFL is also dedicated to true community service and volunteerism by encouraging mentoring, tutoring, and supporting existing educational programs or School systems. VISION

Description

The Barak Source For Learning is a not for-profit organization providing resources via on-site training and implementation of alternative education and leadership programs for schools, neighborhoods and community groups. Our programs include conflict resolution, diversity awareness and positive communication skill building among others, and all are designed using the arts and activities which build cultural awareness; whether they are day-long, intensives or full month-long camps, each program is tailored to the specific community being served.
