The Barbara Bush Foundation Adult Literacy XPRIZE (ALXP) is a large-scale competition to address the challenge of low literacy in the United States and globally.At the start of the competition, more than 100 teams from around the world were competing to develop mobile software that produces the greatest skills gains among adults lacking basic literacy. Now, only 8 teams remain! ALXP looks to put these application into the hands of Philadelphian's want to improve their literacy skills and reward them for participating.
To test out the process, ALXP is conducting a Pilot App Roll-Out at the Southwest Community Development Corporation on June 3rd, 2017 from 9:30am to 2:00pm. We will help participants take a standarized test, download an application, and recieve a $25 gift card as a reward for their time. We are recruiting 10 - 12 Volunteers to assist this process.
Roles we are looking to fill include (Spanish/English bilingual preferred, not required):

Sign-In Volunteer
Training Volunteer
Intake/Welcome Volunteer
Testing Proctor (must be CASAS certified)
Sign-Out Volunteer
