SUMMARY & PURPOSE:
Do you love to cook? As a Community Cooking Chef, this individual assists our Lead Chef in creating 100+ meals each day for children in afterschool programs. Help us use food to change lives!
TIME & COMMITMENT:
- 2 - 4 HOURS
- FLEXIBLE
- WEEKLY OR MONTHLY
ACTIVITIES:
- Collaborating with Lead Chef on meal prep and design
- Helping cook main dishes
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in the culinary field or passion for cooking
- Knowledge of food safety and kitchen safety protocol
SUPPORT:
The Community Cooking Chef will participate in a "shadow shift" and volunteer orientation with the Volunteer Coordinator. The Lead Chef will communicate with the volunteer on an ongoing basis
