There are many ways to share talents with LongviewWOW. Opportunities exist in a variety of areas.
Playologists: Assist during the regular operation of the museum. Help the children have fun and play safely. Enrich the visitor’s experience by being a friendly and cheerful presence.
Professor WOWs: Lead educational activities for individuals, school groups, preschools and other groups. Gain experience teaching children something new.
Outreach Programs: Take the LongviewWOW experience to the community. Travel to schools and local events with a team of other volunteers to provide outreach enrichment programming to children.
Exhibit Care: Provide light maintenance and touch up to exhibits and the facility. Help keep things looking good and working smoothly.
Special Events: Work behind the scenes to ensure the magic and flow of event proceedings flow smoothly and on time. From museum-hosted birthday parties for children to fundraising galas, the museum depends on volunteers to ensure a successful event.
Youth Volunteer: Roll up your sleeves, youngsters aged 13 to 18 and in grades 8-12. Work with staff in any of the areas listed above.

Mission Statement
Longview World of Wonders inspires a life long love of learning by giving children the opportunity to imagine, create, and explore in a hands-on educational environment.
Description
Longview World of Wonders started with a dream much like many civic enhancement projects seen throughout Longview. During 2011, officers and committees started fundraising efforts to fund a home for LongviewWOW. These efforts moved forward while volunteers expanded the Museum without Walls initiative. In early 2013, the former Texas Furniture building at 112 E. Tyler in Longview was purchased and the dream of a museum WITH walls advanced one step closer.
In the first part of 2016, Phase I of exhibits went into fabrication and installation. These first six permanent exhibits include Build-It!, Build-It! Junior, Invention Garage, The Park presented by the Johnson Foundation, The Factory presented by Eastman Credit Union, and The Market presented by the Junior League of Longview. Our Grand Opening occurred on August 13, 2016!
Phase II of exhibits are currently in the design phase. Our goal is to have Phase II completed in early 2017. Our biggest obstacle is funding. Our Capital Campaign is still active until our goal is reached to finish Phase II.
We are excited to be open on a regular basis and will have an engaging mixture of permanent, rotating and traveling exhibits. Please check our website frequently to see what is new and currently happening.
