Each year, KID holds our annual event The Best Friend Night. This is our sole gala event of the year and generates much needed funding for KID throughout the year. We are always looking for volunteers that night to help run the fun booths (Wine Toss, Photo booth, etc.), help with the live auctions, sell raffle tickets, and to help with set up and clean up.
We are excited to celebrate KID’s 25th anniversary this year at the Gleacher Center. Traditionally, our event has been the KID Best Friend Award Night, but this year for our 25th anniversary, we want to celebrate all our best friends who have supported us over the years. We will share the hard won battles that KID has achieved since our founding in 1998 and we would love for volunteers join us in this celebration!
We ask that volunteers are at least 21 years old, as alcohol will be served at this event.

Mission Statement
Kids In Danger (KID) is a nonprofit dedicated to protecting children by improving children's product safety. KID was founded in 1998 when 16 month-old Danny Keysar was killed in a recalled portable crib in his licensed childcare facility. His parents founded KID so that no more children would be hurt or killed by dangerous, recalled products. Fifteen years after our founding, substantive improvements to children's product safety oversight are on the horizon. Be on the frontlines in working to strengthen the children's product safety system and in getting lifesaving safety information to the public!
