The ReStore is looking for creative individuals who enjoy tackling DIY and refinishing projects!
This program is designed to take items that people may look over, and transform them into something unique or into something completely different. We then display these items within the store for a few weeks, before they are sold to the public. For example, we receive a lot of donated filing cabinets, but many people are straying away from the traditional use of a filing cabinet. Volunteers have worked on turning the filing cabinets into storage bins for outdoor gardening tools. Turning items into dog beds have also been a huge hit within our store. Our Right now the volunteers are working on turning an end table into a Lego table, and are also building Glass Totems from the various glassware that is donated to the store.
We are looking for a lead volunteer(s) to come in 2 Saturdays a month, 4 hours each shift. During these shifts, you would work with a few other volunteers on the projects that you wanted to tackle.
Select "I want to help", and the Volunteer Program Manager will send you information about joining the UU rew!
(No court ordered community service hours will be granted for this volunteer experience).
