FIRST LEGO League Jr.* is designed to introduce STEM concepts to kids ages 6 to 10 while exciting them through a brand they know and love − LEGO (r) . There are a maximum of 6 kids allowed per team.

In the 2016-2017 FIRST (r) LEGO League Jr. Challenge, over 40,000 children ages 6-10 will dive into the wonders of the animal kingdom. While exploring the real-world theme, teams will use basic engineering concepts to build a model made of LEGO(r) elements. They will also learn to present information through a Show Me Poster. Throughout their experience, teams will operate under the FIRST (r) LEGO(r) League Jr. Core Values, celebrating discovery, teamwork, and Gracious Professionalism. (r)

You will need to pass a background check through FIRST prior to joining our team. The time commitment is one hour once a week for 12 weeks, which is through the end of the season. (possibility of twice a week, depending on availability of volunteers). There will be a regional expo announced in a few weeks that the team will be invited to as well.
