Harvest and tend to growing fruits and vegetables on Wednesday mornings at Bread for the City’s orchard in Beltsville, MD. Training provided on site.
If needed, transportation is available for up to 10 volunteers. (Separate advance RSVP is required for transportation. The van will depart from the NW Center at 1525 7th Street NW in Washington, DC at 9 am.) Most volunteers drive to the location. Parking is available.
Sign up online at www.breadforthecity.org/volunteer using our online shift calendar. Look for an automatic confirmation in e-mail after submission. (The electronic system will only accept a number of volunteers that is equal to or less than remaining available spaces.)

All participants will need to complete both a Bread for the City liability waiver and a UDC liability waiver, available under Volunteer Documents at www.breadforthecity.org/volunteer.

Description
Bread for the City offers food and clothing, social services, legal counsel, and medical care at no cost to eligible clients. Anyone living in the District of Columbia who meets income guidelines and other program requirements (such as lack of health insurance) may be eligible for help at Bread for the City.
