The Boys & Girls Clubs of Southwest Virginia is run primarily through our location at 1714 9th Street in SE Roanoke, Virginia. Right now we are looking for driven people from the community who would like to give back to younger members of their community by helping our kids in the classroom. We invite all local members of the community with a passion to positively affect the lives of our young men and women to come work with our programs to help our students grow in their professional and academic pursuits.
Our Club provides an outlet for members of the community to invest their time and effort into members of our club so that our children can enjoy brighter futures. Through the hard work of our Program Volunteers we hope to build relationships between our students and volunteers that truly makes a difference for everyone involved. We encourage our Volunteers to volunteer at least one day, one hour per week, but this is not a requirement and we are willing to accommodate your work schedule.
Our Club is open during the summer from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM Monday through Friday. All volunteers must complete a Boys & Girls Clubs volunteer application and pass an annual criminal background check. If you are interested in this opportunity or volunteering during a time not listed above, please contact Evan Weber our Volunteer Coordinator. He can be reached either through email at eweber@bgcswva.org or through his personal extension at our office in Roanoke (540) 904-7401
