At the Sacramento Fine Arts Center we have recently expanded our hours to better fit the needs of the community and our current members. We are looking for volunteers who have a passion for art to greet visitors and pass out information about our center. Volunteers must be able to stay for three hour increments on the Saturday or Sunday they are scheduled for.

This is a great opportunity for teens, adults, retirees, or anyone who loves art and is interested in getting involved in the art community. Volunteering with our organization is a great way to meet with fellow artists and learn more about showing your own work in the future.

We DO NOT offer court mandated community service hours.

Description

Established April, 1986
The Sacramento Fine Arts Center (SFAC) is a California nonprofit corporation, authorized under IRC sections 501C3, whose mission is to contribute to the cultural life of our community. Established jointly by independent art clubs, it is dedicated to the creation and presentation of the visual arts. The Center is entirely self-supporting and operated by volunteers. Its operation is made possible by memberships, contributions, sales and rentals of art work, and numerous community fund-raisers.

As an artist or art lover, you will meet and make friends with many other artists who have similar goals and will have the opportunity to expand your artistic talents. Volunteer opportunities will increase your knowledge about art and make you part of a network of hundreds of artists. Art Gallery docent positions are available. There are numerous opportunities to work as a team organizing exhibits and fundraising events.
