Do you share the Veteran experience, the code of conduct and honor?
Do you feel that camaraderie only Veterans can share?
Do you care about serving Veterans at the end of life's journey?
Join the Interim Hospice team and lend as little as an hour to visit our Veteran patients. This volunteer service is provided to Veteran patients on service that have been diagnosed with a terminal illness. This volunteer service is especially helpful on national holidays such as the 4th of July and Veterans Day. Assistance with outreach efforts to Veterans is also needed. Won't you help?
"As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them." - John F. Kennedy

Description
Interim HealthCare Hospice provides an individualized program of physical, emotional, spiritual, and practical care for people in the last phases of a life-limiting illness, with an emphasis on control of pain and other symptoms. Utilizing an interdisciplinary group approach of physicians, nurses, social workers, homemakers, hospice aides, volunteers, spiritual counselors, bereavement counselors, and others, Interim HealthCare Hospice provides palliative care in the home, nursing facility, assisted living community and short-term inpatieient services, mobilization and coordination of ancillary services and bereavement support.
