About

This is a unique project located in Southern WYOMING! Come spend your weekend among the beautiful rocky outcrops of the Vedauwoo Recreation Area and re-vegetating closed roads in the Pole Mountain National Forest.

More than 380,000 miles of dirt roads riddle our National Forests. However, not all of them were created equally, or legally. Besides the detrimental watershed impacts of roads, the USFS has estimated an $8.4 Billion dollar backlog of maintenance and reconstruction costs for these roads.

This project is intended to close and restore the highest priority of these degraded roads.
