Healing the Land, Building Community.

The Swan Drainage just outside of Breckenridge, CO is a gorgeous valley that has seen massive impacts from mining and heavy use. This popular area sees all kinds of users from Colorado Trail hikers, to snowmobilers, to folks looking for a place to camp. While many of the people that visit these areas stay on sanctioned trails and recreate responsibly, there are some who are traveling off trail and causing damage to the surrounding ecosystem. On this project, we hope to help both the land and the community by restoring and protecting a part of the north fork of this drainage. Through the construction of a fence and improvements to select camping sites, people will still be able to enjoy the area but the fence will keep people from going all over and allow us to seed and plant many degraded sections, adding and improving habitat. On this fun overnight camping project, you will enjoy the beauty Colorado has to offer while helping preserve and restore it for the future. Delicious meals are provided and no experience is needed to come help out.
