Our assignment opportunities are rewarding and challenging for all age groups. Volunteers act as good will ambassadors to patients, families, and community members who visit the hospital. They escort patients, round to patient rooms, answer phones, provide clerical assistance, deliver mail and flowers, run errands for various hospital departments, work in the gift shop, help with mailings and special projects, and sew pillows and toys for patient comfort. We make every effort to match the volunteer’s skills with the needs of the hospital.
Most volunteers service one four-hour shift each week, and we ask for a minimum service of 6 months (100 hours).
