ORGANIZATION: Wildlands Restoration Volunteers

  • A group opportunity. Invite your friends.

Join us for "Zen and the Art of Willow Harvesting", a new way of looking at an old WRV tradition! Office work got you down? Want to see the dew on the branches and the meadowlarks afield? Willow harvesting is the perfect activity to turn your mind off, and your zen on. Little thought is required and so like meditation, you will find your mind rested and ready to return to whatever it is that you do. We will spend shorter days travelling to locations where willows are abundant; harvesting, trimming and bundling willow stakes to be used on revegetation areas in flood denuded watersheds.
