Saving Hooves - Clean Up Day 05/05/2018
Clean Up Day - Saving Hooves

The Humane Society of North Texas is participating in the 2018 ASPCA " Help a Horse" campaign! This year one of our dates is called "Saving Hooves - Clean Up Day" at our Equine Facility in Joshua, TX. We still need more individual volunteers and volunteer groups and we'd love for you and/or your group to join in! The event is May 5th from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at 1033 CR 910 Joshua, TX 76058.
Please arrive at least 10 minutes before. Duties will include but are not limited to...

  • Fence work (driving posts / cementing posts / repairing existing fencing)
  • Cleaning, Sweeping, Sorting (cleaning specific facility areas, picking up wire /moving resource materials / moving hay etc...)
  • Horse shelter building (Please feel free to bring tools that you're comfortable using)
  • Painting barns and buildings (painting trim on buildings and the barn / inside these facilities as well)
  • Power Washing (washing walls of buildings, the barn, equipment etc...)
****If you or your group is interested in volunteering please click the link HERE to sign up and to get directions to the facility! -Note- Volunteers ages are 14 and up. Volunteers that are 14-17 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times. Individuals and groups of individuals will be assigned tasks according to their ability, comfort with certain tasks and age. ****There will be HSNT and ASPCA release forms to sign when you arrive on May 5th. HSNT will provide drinks throughout the day as well as lunch!
