ORGANIZATION: United Way of Northern Nevada and the Sierra
Please visit the new page to apply.
United Way's Family Reading Program is focused on encouraging families to read and learn together for a fun and beneficial experience for all. This program demonstartes techniques for nurturing ongoing literacy while empowering parents/caregivers to create an environment where learning together is important and valuable. Every family walks out of the event with a free book to grow their at-home-libraries!
The Family Reading Program will be held at the Yerington Library on Saturday, March 11th from 1pm to 3pm.
We ask that volunteers show up at 12:30pm for introductions and set-up. During the event, volunteers will welcome families, distribute and collect surveys before and after the program, greet and incorporate any late arrivals into the activities, assist with the art and science projects, and help with clean-up.
This is a fun family event that will leave you smiling!More opportunities with United Way of Northern Nevada and the Sierra
