The Special Olympics Heartland Winter Games is seeking a Cross Country Skiing Chairperson for to join their Games Management Team (GMT). The current chairperson will be leaving but able to provide information and training on duties involved. Other members of the GMT have been involved for decades.
Dates: Various preparation meetings (2-3) in Mission, KS;2-3 Ski Clinics on Sundays in Dec/Jan; attendance at competition date required (Jan 25th) at Snow Creek Ski Lodge in Weston, MO.
Duties: Inventory and prepare supplies and equipment; train and manage volunteers to execute Cross Country Ski races; train athletes along with other volunteer coaches at Ski Clinics prior to competition; provide feedback and make adjustments to improve CC Ski competition.
