Join Mayor Ron Jensen for a 5K run/walk through downtown Grand Prairie, or for a shortened route, join the Grand Prairie Police and Fire chiefs for a 1-mile "chase the chiefs" fun run at 8:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 1, 2017. This is a fun, "no frills" event with no race numbers and no cost (except for an optional $10 Dri-FIT shirt).
Volunteers will assist with directing the runners where to go, handing out water/fruit, and set up. Volunteers will receive a free Get Fit 5K tee shirt. After you register to volunteer, you will receive an email asking for your shirt size.
Minimum volunteer age is 14. Group volunteers are welcome!
Location: Grand Prairie Farmer's Market, 120 W. Main St. Meet at the red Get Fit booth.
