Please apply at www.apsofdurham.org/volunteer and sign up for a general orientation, noting "kitten foster program" on your application.
This is a home foster volunteer opportunity, however, volunteers must be able to attend trainings in Durham.
We are designing a kitten foster program to help save as many lives as possible this kitten season. While it’s hard to know exactly when kitten season will come, it is likely to be sometime in the spring (April-June).
We are seeking people of all experience levels, including those who have never fostered neonates before. I will be taking lead on pairing litters of kittens with fosters whose experience fits.
The kitten foster program will be open to all APS volunteers who have attended a general orientation session; cat care training is not required. There will be a separate kitten-specific workshop conducted by our staff veterinarian which will be open to people who have attended a general orientation.
Please apply at www.apsofdurham.org/volunteer and sign up for a general orientation, noting "kitten foster program" on your application.
