Donations of home-cooked or take-out meals are needed for weekly meetings for 25 program participants. Food is not only a basic need but a meal also offers a hospitable, social equalizer.
Getting Ahead in a Just-Gettin’-By World is an internationally recognized, 16-20 week program known for its interactive small group format. No one "teaches" participants what they want to learn - they discover what’s best for them. Getting Ahead helps individuals at all levels of income build their resources for a better life. The Getting Ahead curriculum involves rigorous work done in a safe, kitchen-table style learning environment with the support of experienced facilitators.
To provide and deliver a single OR multiple meals, please follow this link to sign-up on-line (https://signup.com/client/invitation2/secure/2622106/false#/invitation) or call Getting Ahead Facilitator Kelly Overholtzer at 301.447.6102 x 17.
