Love animals? Want to help in your community? Equine Aid: Horse and Donkey Sanctuary is seeking volunteers who love animals and want to help care for horses, ponies and donkeys.

If You need community service hours, email us for the application at: info@equineaid.org

We ask all volunteers commit to 3-4 hours a week. This time will be spent cleaning stalls and paddocks, stuffing hay nets, filling water buckets and tubs and general horse and barn care chores. No experience required; we will teach you as we go. All volunteers are encouraged to spend time with an animal suited to their abilities at the end of their shift, every week.

If You have questions, please email our volunteer coordinator for more information at info@equineaid.org

Our Mission: Providing lifetime sanctuary for the equines we have previously rescued and serving as a voice against all abuse.

Mission Statement

Mission: Providing rescue and rehabilitation, adoption or sanctuary for at-risk equines and serving as a voice against all abuse.

Description

Equine Aid is a labor of love and hope. We are thankful for our wonderful Board of Directors and all the volunteers who help us care for the animals. There are many ways to help here. We hope that every person who has assisted us, in any capacity, knows how important they are to the successful rehabilitation, training and placement of our rescued equines.

We have an ongoing need for volunteers who care for the animals and facility. Please contact us to ask any questions or sign up to help! We welcome everyone who is interested in horses, ponies and donkeys. No experience, no problem! We will teach you while keeping you safe.

We have been in operation since 1999. During these years we have struggled to train our animals over the winter as we have no covered area other than the shelters and stalls. During 2020 we are initiating a fund drive to cover our round pen . When it is covered we will be able to maintain training and increase community education as well as using it for rescue events. If you have skills that can help us reach this goal, please contact Geri at: geri@equineaid.org.
