Volunteer Job Opening - Garden Coordinator
Greenbank is currently seeking an energetic and experienced green thumb to coordinate our four gardens, with particular focus on the main House Garden. Our ideal candidate works well with other volunteers, has working knowledge of organic or historic gardening techniques, and is available to get down and dirty on a regular basis.
Specific duties include:
- Developing a garden plan for the House Garden that creates a visually-appealing display for late-April through late summer
- Determining resources needed and working with Director on budget
- Creating a composting plan, with optional use of sheep manure
- Working with other volunteers to develop a schedule for garden work
- Evaluating the three auxiliary gardens (dye, medicinal, and gentlemen's) for maintenance and development

Description
Greenbank Mill Associates, Inc, which operates Greenbank Mills and Philips Farm, is a one of a kind living history museum. We are an 11 acre historical site with 6 historic buildings, two flocks of sheep, a millrace, and a small but dedicated corps of volunteers. The site is mostly volunteer run with our paid staff being our director and bookkeeper.
