Are you an early bird? Enjoy working with animals?
The Brevard Humane Society is always in need of volunteers, but our AM Animal Care Techs are extremely important as they help start the day for the staff and animals. The AM crew is responsible for getting dogs out of their kennel runs to go for potty breaks. many of our dogs are house broken and will wait until staff arrive. If we do not have volunteers, many of the animals will have to hold even longer.
Additional roles include cleaning kennel runs- pulling bedding, toys, etc out to be placed in the laundry room. Disbursement of food, and general cleaning of floors (if willing and able).
The AM Animal Care Techs are vital towards getting the animals safe, clean, and happy first thing in the morning; additionally it allows staff to make any and all daily operations quicker.
The commitment is only for days you sign up. You are not required to be here every day or repeatedly the same day each week. we are looking for the people that are willing to donate an hour or two in the morning to help our animals enjoy the time that they have in the shelter.

About Central Brevard Humane Society
Location:

Mission Statement
The Central Brevard Humane Society provides animal welfare shelter and programs that foster a humane ethic toward all animals. We also strive to deepen the community's commitment to spaying and neutering, as well as the adoption of homeless companion animals. We believe this to be essential to achieving our purpose of humane care and treatment of all animals.
Description
The Central Brevard Humane Society has served the Brevard Community for more than 50 years, making it the oldest animal welfare organization in Brevard County
Until 1952 Brevard County had no real support for lost pets and homeless animals. In August of that year, a group of animal lovers got together and the Central Brevard Humane Society was born.
Today, the shelter is open seven days a week to help lost pets find their owners and homeless animals find loving homes.
Using donations from the community, over 6,000 dogs, cats, kittens, puppies and other animals are cared for each year.
