The Natural History Museum of Utah is home to a rotating special exhibit; our upcoming exhibition is Vikings. We need Teen Explainer volunteers to interact with guests as they explore the Vikings exhibit and discover the many rare artifacts included in the traveling collection. As a Teen Explainer you can share your passion for science and history with those eager to learn. You will get specialized training to learn the science behind the Viking discoveries, and gain valuable experience with public speaking and science literacy.
Teen Explainers help Museum guests engage in our new special exhibit during its run, May 27, 2017 - January 1, 2018. Using hands-on activities and conversation, they will help guests explore their curiosity and appreciation for the science behind Viking discoveries. Teen Explainers may also provide multilingual explanations and support for visitors.
This opportunity is open to teens between the ages of 15 and 18. To read more about this opportunity, and to apply, visit our website at nhmu.utah.edu/teenexplainer.
