Save to Favorites

ORGANIZATION: CoachArt

Sports

Right now a young student who is impacted by chronic illness is hoping to learn from YOU. With just 1 hour a week, for 4 weeks, YOU can make a difference in that student's life by coaching them.

As part of our matching process with volunteers and students, we use the power of ART and ATHLETIC extracurricular activities, as a source for the self expression and empowerment that our students need.

All matches are made in a 1-on-1 setting, and are tailored to fit your background as a volunteer, according to your activity interests, location, and time availability.

Categories needed: Basketball, Martial Arts, Soccer, Golf, Fantasy Football, No-contact Boxing, Guitar, Piano, Voice, Acting/Theatre, Ballet, Hip Hop Dance, Jazz Dance, Tap Dance, Ceramics/Sculpture, Arts and Crafts, Painting, Drawing, Textile Arts, Coding, Computer/Digital Media, Gaming

Mission Statement

CoachArt’s mission is to create a transformative arts and athletics community for families impacted by childhood chronic illness.

Description

CoachArt is a non-profit organization offering free lessons in the arts and athletics to children impacted by chronic illness, ages 5-18. Our vision is that one day every family impacted by chronic illness will be connected to a community of support and an opportunity to learn and grow together.

We partner with talented volunteers and arts/athletics programs to offer lessons in music, art, yoga, photography, dance, soccer - and more! Our CoachArt team matches each individual child with our volunteers and program partners, who provide 8 week lessons in a shared activity of choice.
