We have two homeless shelters - 1 for women and children and the other for single men. We are always looking for volunteers to help us read to the children, assist the moms in looking for work, or just being around to help out at the homes. The mens center needs men who are looking to mentor/assist men also. Volunteers can make their own schedule based on their availability. There are times when we are all at our worst however we want their worst experience to be one they remember because of the people's kind hearts that volunteer.

Description
Waukegan Township has grown over the years since its inception in 1849 and currently serves a population of over 100,000. In addition to continuing to provide financial relief to needy area residents, Waukegan Township funds and administers many programs for area seniors, transitional facilities for men and women with children, the coalition to reduce recidivism, scholarship for our youth and many many more.
