Friends of Shakespeare Festival St. Louis is the volunteer group that serves the Festival on a year-round basis. The Festival depends on over 600 volunteers each year working in the park, in the office, and on special events and projects. Volunteering with the Festival is a fun, social, and rewarding way to support one of St. Louis’ leading arts organizations with your most precious gift: your time.
Shakespeare Festival St. Louis is In the Schools, In the Streets and In the Park year round and so are our Audience Services volunteers. They support education programs and community events such as SHAKE 38 and Shakespeare in the Streets. The Festival’s Audience Service volunteers are essential to creating a rich experience for the audience each summer at the mainstage production in Shakespeare Glen. The Festival needs 15 - 25 Audience Services volunteers nightly during the annual performance in Forest Park.
Volunteers will assist in nightly customer service tasks, such as passing out playbills and welcoming guests. Nightly volunteer shifts run at various times from 4:00 to 11:00 PM, including a 15 minute orientation. Volunteers are also encouraged to stay and watch the show!
