Join us as an Assistant Golf & Life Skills Coach!
Our Mission:
The mission of the East Bay Golf Foundation (a 501c3 non-profit organization) and First Tee - Contra Costa is to impact the lives of young people by providing educational programs that build character, instill life-enhancing values and promote healthy choices through the game of golf.
Our Volunteer Assistant Coaches:
- Assisting our Lead Coaches in delivering The First Tee Life Skills experience to juniors
- Help ensure a safe environment for all our participants
- Commit to coaching at least once a week for 2 hours for our 8-week sessions
- Receive the necessary training. No golf experience is required!
Our Golf Course Locations:
- Boundary Oak Golf Course, Walnut Creek
- Diablo Creek Golf Course, Concord
- Hiddenbrooke Golf Club, Vallejo
- Lone Tree Golf Course, Antioch
Although we are outside for classes, the safety of participants and coaches is priority. In case someone in the program becomes sick, we will be following these guidelines:
- Anyone involved in a First Tee Program (participants, their immediate family, coaches, volunteers or staff) who becomes sick with COVID-19, display symptoms, or are a confirmed or suspected case, will need to inform the primary designee at First Tee Contra Costa Chapter Office.

Description
We have programming at 5 courses throughout Contra Costa County, offering 3 - eight week sessions of the Life Skills Experience. Another aspect of First Tee is the National Schools Program, where the curriculum is introduced at the elementary schools through the PE teacher at that school.
