Pet Supplies Plus has graciously allowed For Animals, Inc. to show cats/kittens around the clock at their Howard Beach store (135-25 79TH STREET, HOWARD BEACH).
The store does very well caring for kitties’ basic needs, food and litter. We’re looking for volunteers to occasionally pop in and give attention to the babies (play and socialize) and just check on them. Time is flexible! You can literally do it whenever you have some free time and want to spend it with kitties for a good cause. You’ll only need to text us and tell how everything looks out there and if anything (or anyone) needs attention.

We also need people who can help us with our weekend adoption events, so we can have them more often (which means more potential adoptions and more happy cats!). You can contact Stephanie if you’re interested in this volunteer opportunity as well.

Trap-Neuter-Return resources are widely accessible and actively utilized by community members in all five boroughs. the importance of spaying/neutering companion animals and the humane treatment of every animal are core values upheld by all citizens of the city. adopting companion animals from no-kill shelters is considered the norm among current and prospective pet owners. public-intake shelters no longer euthanize healthy or treatable animals for want of funds or living space. no companion animal is ever born into, nor abandoned to, homelessness for any reason.
Description
For Animals is dedicated to eliminating companion animal homelessness, engaging our larger community as vital and active participants in this shared social and ethical responsibility, and providing that community with the resources and education necessary to achieve these goals together.
