Join our Make-A-Wish Walk for Wishes Committee and help us debut our Walk for Wishes in Delaware! This is a special event that helps raise funds to grant wishes for children with life-threatening medical conditions all across Delaware.
As a volunteer, you will be part of one of 5 subcommittees:
- Corporate Relationships: Partner with Make-A-Wish staff to recruit corporate support for the event through corporate teams and sponsorships
- Volunteer Recruitment: Recruit volunteers for the Walk and oversee their responsibilities on the day of the event
- Raffle Donations: Secure raffle basket donations and assemble baskets for the event
- Games/Activities: Create and implement various games and activities for children to partake in at the Walk
- Family Team Mentor: Invite Wish Families to the Walk and provide them with the information they need in order to participate; assist with Wish Family check-in at the event

Founded in 1986, Make-A-Wish Philadelphia, Delaware & Susquehanna Valley is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
Make-A-Wish serves a unique, and vital, role in helping strengthen and empower children battling critical illnesses. Fulfilling a child’s wish provides a joyful and meaningful experience that benefits both the child and the family.
Make-A-Wish (r) seeks the best people to fulfill our vision of granting a wish for every eligible child. Every person who joins us commits to this vision - and uses it as a guide in every action.
Our staff lives the Make-A-Wish values in the pursuit of granting wishes. From program services and operations to fundraising and brand advancement, every staff member fulfills a vital role in our mission.
