Pathways to Compassion Hospice is looking for help with office work. Duties of an office volunteer include scanning documents, filing paperwork, faxing, mass mailings, copying, etc. Must be able to work efficiently and somewhat independently. Good critical thinking skills are a must! Skills in Microsoft Word are preferred. Additional qualities include willingness to learn and ask questions. Will be supervised by the Volunteer Coordinator and Medical Records Manager. Must be able to help between the hours of 8:30am and 5pm during the week.

Description
Hospice provides palliative support and care for persons in the last phases of incurable disease so that they may live as fully and as comfortable as possible. Hospice recognized dying as part of the normal process of living and focuses on maintaining the quality of remaining life. Hospice affirms life and neither hastens nor postpones death. Hospice exists in the hope and belief that through appropriate care, and the promotion of a caring community sensitive to their needs, patients and their families may be free to attain a degree of mental, social, physical, and spiritual preparation for death that is satisfactory to them.
