Are you looking for a team building experience? Do you have a group of friends that would like to volunteer together? You have come to the right place!

A Gift For Teaching has several interactive, team-building volunteer opportunities for groups of 10 to 30 people. Group projects vary drastically based on what donations we receive, but some consistent projects include packing online shopping orders and sorting or bundling supplies. Smaller groups can choose to volunteer at a school for Pencil Boy Express assisting teachers in their shopping experience and working check-out if dates align.

A Gift For Teaching's mission is to improve public education by providing resources and surplus materials free to teachers for their students in need. We work to ensure every child has the tools and experiences to succeed in school and life.

Description

Imagine trying to write without a pencil, color without a crayon, or carry school books without a backpack. For nearly 240,000 students in Central Florida, this is a reality every day. An award-winning nonprofit organization, A Gift For Teaching works to fill in this gap by collecting surplus supplies from local businesses and individuals and then distributes them to students in need throughout Central Florida.

Volunteer opportunities range from working in our Free Store, visiting schools with our mobile store and sorting and packing supply donations to assisting at our front desk. Since 1998, A Gift For Teaching has distributed more than $120 million worth of learning tools to ensure equal education for all children.
