As people of faith we are often reminded that God has provided enough in our communities for the needs of all. We are grateful for your partnership over the years in bringing hope to those who are hungry or in need of shelter through your generous donations of time, money and goods. We are blessed to have the Center of Hope and the Renton Meal Coalition to share these gifts with others!
To be sure that our programs are running smoothly and providing for others we value working with other organizations that have expertise to share in this with us. With limited space to store items collected please be sure that the donations brought to the Center of Hope are currently needed. Please consider donating directly to our partners listed below to ensure that they will also be recipients of the communities' generosity. In recognition of the call to a just and sustainable community, and in thanksgiving for the gifts we have been given, we respond by: Offering ourselves to each other and our community, in support of compassionate, healthy and sustainable ways of living together. Allying ourselves with, and advocating for, those whose dignity and worth are compromised through lack of resources.
Description
REACH is a community of local churches and partner agencies. We are interested in working together to find ways to help all members of the Renton community have what they need to be safe and well.
We began about 40 years ago as a group of churches in the community who came together to advocate and work for those in need. We have, over the years developed important and valued relationships with many community partners and REACH is now recognized in the community for its collaboration and compassionate work on behalf of the community.
We operate out of the conviction that all people have incredible gifts, and that we have a better chance at wholeness when these diverse gifts are nurtured and offered for the good of the world. It is our hope that we might be a space where gifts are celebrated and nurtured and where we pay attention to the needs amongst and around us. We are committed to helping each other find healthy, sustainable and compassionate ways of living together.
All are welcome. Ours is not just an organization for pastors and church leaders, but for anyone who wants to find meaning and wholeness by living in a compassionate and sustainable community.
