The PRI is gearing up for our 2 nd annual online Auction of Epoch Proportions in May. This auction supports science education at the Museum of the Earth and Cayuga Nature Center. We are looking for a student intern/work study/volunteer from now through April to be our auction coordinator and assist with inputting auction item information into the auction website. Help with social media promotion and photographing items (we provide camera) would also be welcome, along with various other auction-related tasks. A student who is currently a senior at IC helped us with last year’s auction, and we are hoping to be lucky enough to have another IC assistant for 2017. If you would like a chance to gain practical experience in marketing, writing, organization, and communication while supporting two wonderful, science education-focused, family-friendly Discovery Trail sites, please contact me! (Please include your resume.) Applicants should have good writing skills and be able to communicate in a professional manner. A significant portion of this project work can be done remotely, and hours can be flexible. If transportation to PRI is needed, there is a bus directly from Downtown Ithaca to Museum of the Earth (hospital stop). This internship is unpaid; work study students are welcome to apply.
