Help with council and if necessary, act on the organization's behalf in legal and financial contexts. Our goal is to be compliant with tax law and federal/state regulations regarding non-profit activities. This volunteer will help set important guidelines for the organization so that there is low risk of liability and proper governance with corporate leadership. Mission Statement

The Metro Mentorship Initiative (TMMI) is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit public charity that provides wraparound support and resources to partners by helping their mentoring causes achieve sustainability and be viable in marginalized communities.

Description

TMMI primarily seeks to be collaborative with entities that facillitates mentoring programs for individuals (children, teens, young adults) from low-income communities. This organization was formed out of a genuine belief that mentoring initiatives must have sustainable resources and tools in order to effectively cause global change. Our agency will provide full-service support to partner entities that focus on serving kids, teens, young adults in four key pillars: EDUCATION, TECHNOLOGY, JOB READINESS/EMPLOYMENT AND PUBLIC HEALTH & FITNESS .

TMMI has been established in direct response to many social problems in the United States of America particularly in Chicago, Illinois. We’d like to help entities cause systemic change to solve issues including, but not limited to, the growing cases of fatherless homes, inner-city orphans and violence in impoverished neighborhoods.
