Do you love gardening and butterflies? If you do, then join KNCB most Wednesdays for our volunteer gardening event as we work in the Park Circle Butterfly Garden. Enjoy time volunteering while butterflies and other wildlife are flying around. It is a beautiful setting to be able to work in each week. Some of the tasks we complete are installing newspaper and pine straw, deadheading plants and making the garden more enticing for our visitors.
If leadership is your strong suite we are looking for volunteer team leaders who can lead other volunteers during the week. After working in the garden and getting comfortable with how to properly do each task we will have you select a day to lead a group in a gardening activity. The more volunteer team leaders we get the more we can do in the garden.
We will provide you with all of the needed tools. Please remember to dress appropriately for the weather and comfortably for working outside. Please wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty. You may want to bring a hat, sunscreen, and bug spray for yourself. We will provide cold bottled water along with a cooler to refill our own bottles if you would prefer that to bottled water. A popsicle or two may even show up in hot weather.
Any questions, please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 843-745-1073. Please RSVP to the event so we can plan accordingly for the correct number of volunteers. Thank you for helping to make North Charleston bloom with beauty!
