I Live Here, I Give Here is in need of a Volunteer Coordinator to assist our Nonprofit Relations Manager by leading a team of volunteers at our Command Central location for Amplify Austin Day on March 2 & 3, 2017.
Amplify Austin Day is a 24-hour online giving day that has raised $24.5M for hundreds of Central Texas nonprofits in just four years. Command Central is I Live Here, I Give Here's Headquarters for Amplify Austin Day and serves as a call center and check-in location for press.
Volunteer Coordinator will assist the Nonprofit Relations Manager in training volunteers as they arrive at the call center. Volunteers will be trained on the AmplifyATX.Org platform and will assist donors in making donations to local nonprofits online as well as assist with any day-of technology issues that may present themselves to donors.
This volunteer position offers a multi-layer learning experience with the opportunity to manage volunteers, work in a fast paced environment and serve a charitable cause.
The volunteer will need to be available and on-site at Command Central at St. David's Foundation (1303 San Antonio Street, Austin, TX) during Amplify Austin Day from 4:00PM - 8:00PM on March 2, and again from 6:30AM - 6:00PM on March 3. Prior to March 2 & 3 would need to be able for a 1-hour training.
We are seeking a volunteer with clear communication, management, and problem-solving skills who can work well in a fast-paced environment.
