Join us in the Treehouse Wearhouse, a unique store where foster children shop for free for new and used clothing and other essentials. We will be sorting, tagging and restocking merchandise, as we ready the store for shopping days.

Our Nonprofit Partner that this event supports: Treehouse

Why you are needed: The Wearhouse is run by 2.5 paid staff so volunteer power is essential for the success of the program. Volunteers contribute an average of 450 hours per month to the Wearhouse, and thanks to them more than 2,000 foster children shop at Treehouse each year for the things they need and want.

Age Requirement: 18+

Pre-Event Requirement For the protection of the children that may be being served by Treehouse, it is required by the organization that you complete a volunteer waiver in advance of your volunteer shift. This waiver will be emailed to you to sign digitally after you register.

Event Date: March 18 10:00am - 2:00pm

Mission Statement

The World is Fun (TWIF) is dedicated to making volunteering fun & social for Seattle people, businesses & nonprofits by creating, promoting and expanding charitable events.

Description

We’re not your grandparents’ charitable club. We’re a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization here to make volunteering a fun and social experience for Seattle people, businesses, and nonprofits. We seek to banish the ol’ bake sale stereotype and get you excited about giving back to your community by broadening the scope of volunteerism and revamping existing charitable programs. Our mission is to remind you that volunteering is not a chore - it makes the world fun!

TWIF works within Seattle communities to create new opportunities for people to give back in a way that is social and philanthropic. We connect people to volunteer activities that fit each individual’s interests, passions, and busy schedules while introducing them to a new network of friends.
