PLACEMENT PURPOSE
Government Liaisons, in local and state Emergency Operations Centers (EOCs), during disaster responses, collaborate with government partners to communicate, plan and coordinate service delivery to clients and communities, share information with key stakeholders, and seek opportunities for partnership that result in more efficient service to clients. Government Liaisons also perform these functions during exercises and trainings with government partners.

OPEN TIME DAYS
Initial Training 12 Hours
Annual Refresher Training/ Workshops 10 Hours
10-12 Hours Daily During Response Activations

REQUIRED TRAINING
? The Liaison should be familiar with the Red Cross doctrine and have a solid understanding of Concept of Operations, Disaster Cycle Services core and pillar processes.

Before deploying to an Emergency Operation Center with a mentor, new Government Liaisons should complete the following courses:

Mass Care: An Overview
Concept of Operations Overview
Emergency Operations Center Desk Guide Review
Government Operations Center Liaison Standards & Procedures Review
FEMA ICS 100,200,700,800
