Imagine being able to receive a PhD, but not being able to open a door. Imagine being the mother of four, and not being able to hear a smoke alarm. Imagine serving your country in combat, and then not being able to turn on a light. Canine Companions’ highly trained assistance dogs help children, adults and veterans with disabilities with all of these things and more. Born and raised in the homes of loving volunteers and trained by dedicated professionals, Canine Companions assistance dogs are given free of charge to create life-changing independence to people with disabilities.
Canine Companions for Independence is looking for enthusiastic young professionals to join our Yappy Hour Committee.
In this role, you will be supporting our development staff in planning and executing quarterly happy hour events. These events are used to help drive awareness about our organization, all while allowing young professionals to network with their furry friends in a pet-friendly environment.

Canine Companions is a national non-profit organization that provides expertly trained service dogs and a lifetime of follow-up services - completely free of charge - to children, adults and veterans with disabilities so they can lead lives with greater independence.
